߲ Warradale Education Centre, in Adelaide’s southeast, is now operating under the guidance of a new Instructor, Jovie Chong!
Jovie has a 15-year career spanning different industries. He has also worked with children in a volunteering role, and it is this passion that he is hoping to pursue as the new Instructor of ߲ Warradale.
“I’ve spent time volunteering with pre-schoolers and working closely with students of different ages, helping them with schoolwork and encouraging them to take pride in their learning”, Jovie says. “I love seeing that spark in a child’s eyes when something clicks. I’m here to help make that happen.”
Jovie says the development of self-learning skills is the most valuable aspect of ߲ for students. He wants each of his students at ߲ Warradale to acquire the skill of self-learning.
“[߲] is the programme to guide students to solve problems on their own and cultivate good habits and skills sets to solve problems on their own”, Jovie explains.
“This self-learning encourages the students to study independently from an early age and develop both a high level of academic ability and ‘self-learning’ ability. As a result, our students build self-esteem, learn that they can do anything if they try, and develop the ability and skills to take on new challenges for themselves.”
߲ Warradale Education Centre is located at The Corner Uniting Church, 93 Oaklands Road, Warradale, SA 5046. Classes operate on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2pm to 6:30pm.
